At Service Tool and Plastics, we have an extensive array of presses, robots, CNC machines, and software that we use to perform over molding work. With 44 presses on site and a capacity of 50 – 1,000 tons, the breadth of work we can complete is enormous. In addition to press weight capacity, we also have a full-service tool shop on site, 5-axis CNC machines, and our aforementioned clean room.

Automotive manufacturers are just one example of the industries we can over mold parts for at Service Tool and Plastics. An example of our over molding work includes a gear shifter molded for an automotive manufacturer. To begin, the base substrate was molded out of Acetal. Then, we assembled wires within this component. With wiring in place, we over molded with Flexible PVC to encompass the part and secure the assembled wires.
